Appeals for Help after a Kingstanding Traffic Incident

West Midlands Police have issued a press release asking for any witnesses to a road accident on Tuesday the 1st of February on the Ridgeway which resulted in a young man from Kingstanding being killed.

POLICE have today named a man killed in road traffic collision last week.

Leon Williams, 27, from the Kingstanding area of Birmingham, died when his White Subaru Impreza overturned on The Ridgeway.

His family have also released a picture of Leon with his sister Sade.

A 23-year-old man travelling in the same car was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers investigating the incident are particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a dark coloured car that was believed to be travelling in the area at the time of the collision.

The occupants of this car, or anyone else with information is asked to contact officers from the Collision Investigation Unit on 0345 113 5000. Alternatively, call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
