A 19-YEAR-OLD man from Kingstanding was yesterday arrested in connection with a dog attack in a Birmingham park. (Original article from TheB44 can be found here.
Officers from the Oscott neighbourhood policing team arrested the man from his home in Southgate Road, just after 8am on Wednesday 6 April as part of this investigation into an incident which saw a man and his dog attacked by in Queslett Nature Reserve.
The victim was walking his pet when two dogs ran and attacked the pair.
The victim suffered a bite to his hand which required hospital treatment, as well as a bite to the face and bruising to his arm and chest.
The victim’s dog was also injured and required two operations.
Following the incident which happened in January, officers appealed to local people for information which would help identify the men and their dogs.
It was as a result of this appeal that the teen was arrested and later released on police bail.
Officers continue to investigate the case and identify the second man.
