Police Bus Appeal

Officers in north Birmingham have released CCTV images of two men they would like to trace as part of an investigation into a robbery.

On Thursday 31 March 2011 a 16 year old man travelling on the number 451 bus had his mobile phone stolen a short time after getting off the bus at Kings Road in Kingstanding.

Police investigating the robbery have released images of two men travelling between West Bromwich and Sutton Coldfield at this time who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

At around 5.30pm the two males are believed to have got onto the bus in the West Bromwich area. At around 6pm they left the bus in the Kingstanding area.

Officers believe the individuals may live in the West Bromwich, Kingstanding or Sutton Coldfield area and are keen to speak to them as part of the ongoing investigation.

Detective Constable Emma Howes from Sutton Coldfield police station’s CID department said:

“We are seeking these men in relation to the theft from another passenger after he had got off the bus in the Kingstanding area. I would encourage anyone who knows these people, or even the people themselves to contact us so we can continue our investigations.”
